Concrete Blanket for Channel Lining & Erosion Protection
A practical channel-lining application showing the supplied composite material, site placement and completed protective surface.

A roll-form lining for narrow channels and erosion-prone surfaces
The photographs show a concrete blanket installed along a formed irrigation channel. The flexible dry material can be positioned against the prepared channel profile and then hydrated so the cementitious layer hardens into a protective lining.
This example demonstrates the application method rather than a fixed design specification. Material thickness, backing, anchorage, overlaps, hydration and edge termination must be selected for the channel geometry, water conditions and required service life.
Rapid placement
Roll material can follow the prepared channel profile with less formwork than conventional cast-in-place lining methods.
Conforms before hydration
The dry composite remains flexible during positioning, helping it fit slopes, transitions and narrow channel sections.
Hardened protection
After correct hydration and curing, the cementitious layer forms a durable surface for erosion-control applications.
Prepare, overlap, anchor, hydrate and inspect
Remove loose soil and sharp objects, shape a stable substrate, arrange the rolls with the specified overlap, and secure the material at edges, joints and transitions. Hydration must reach the full installed area without washing out the dry cementitious layer.
Inspect overlaps, anchors, terminations, surface contact and any damaged locations before curing is complete. Flow conditions, abrasion, freeze–thaw exposure and structural loads require project-specific review.
