HDPE Geocell
VABREN manufactures and supplies HDPE geocell cellular confinement systems for slope protection, erosion control and road-base stabilization. Compare 50, 80, 100, 150 and 200 mm cell heights, download the specification and send your project requirements for a quotation.
HDPE geocell cellular confinement system
HDPE geocell is a three-dimensional honeycomb structure made from welded high-density polyethylene strips. The panels fold for transport and expand on site. Soil, aggregate or concrete infill is confined within the cells to limit lateral movement and distribute load through the filled layer.
Geocell for slope protection and erosion control
Use geocell to retain infill on slopes, embankments, riverbanks and channel surfaces. Select soil, aggregate or concrete infill together with drainage, anchoring, panel connections and the hydraulic or slope design.
Road-base stabilization and load support
Applications include road and railway subgrades, access roads, working areas and embankments over weak ground. The cellular layer confines the infill and helps spread applied loads. Match the cell geometry, infill and compaction to the subgrade condition and design loading.
Choose geocell height, weld spacing and infill
Available cell heights are 50, 80, 100, 150 and 200 mm. Select height and weld spacing together with expanded panel dimensions, infill, anchoring and loading. Weld spacing describes the distance between welds; it is different from the expanded cell opening. Compare the complete panel configurations below.
Geogrid or geocell for soil stabilization?
Geocell forms a three-dimensional confinement layer around the infill. Plastic geogrid is an open planar grid for aggregate interlock or directional soil reinforcement. Use the comparison guide to match the reinforcement system to the project.
