Landscape Weed Control & Nursery Grow Bag Application
How lightweight PET spunbond hot-rolled nonwoven is converted and installed for weed-control mats and breathable nursery grow bags.

One roll material, two practical nursery uses
The supplied photographs show PET spunbond hot-rolled nonwoven used as cut weed-control mats around trees and as sewn grow bags for nursery plants. The flat thermally bonded sheet is supplied in rolls, then cut or converted to suit the planting layout and bag dimensions.
This case demonstrates the application method rather than a fixed project specification. Fabric mass, color, UV stabilization, dimensions and sewing construction must be matched to the expected exposure, plant size, handling and service period.
Weed suppression
The sheet covers exposed soil around plants and limits the light available to weeds while the planned opening keeps the tree stem clear.
Permeable structure
The nonwoven structure allows air and water movement; the required permeability should be confirmed for the selected mass and end use.
Easy converting
Roll goods can be cut, folded and sewn into mats or grow bags, with dimensions selected for the nursery workflow.
Fit closely, secure the edges and select UV protection
For weed-control mats, prepare the surface, cut a controlled opening for the plant, overlap or close the cut line, and secure the perimeter so wind cannot lift the sheet. Avoid tight contact that could constrict the growing stem.
For nursery bags, confirm fabric mass, seam type, bag dimensions, drainage requirement and lifting method. Outdoor use should specify the expected exposure period so a suitable UV-stabilized construction can be reviewed.
